Summer Kimono

Happy Friday!

Finally! I was able to wear a yukata (summer kimono) yesterday to witness the Yokohama’s Fireworks Festival. Because of privacy (Japan gov’t is very strict about that), most pictures will showcase the ob belts of random people.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAh3I was very fortunate that I was able to wear my mother-in-law’s 25-year-old yukata. She also dressed me up and tied the belt herself. Some ob belts can be bought with ready made ribbons just like that of my friend Gabi’s.
